OK this is a seriously cool tutorial. I mean, I'm almost reluctant to share it kinda good! Super easy, no difficult ingredients or tools and a wicked awesome result. That is my kind of craft! Scroll down to see the recipe and a couple of ways to use them.

Here's the secret formula...

  1. In a saucepan throw in all the ingredients and stir well
  2. Mix on a medium heat, stirring to avoid burning, until the paste turns into a more stiff playdough type consistency
  3. Remove from heat and leave for a few minutes to cool
  4. Turn out on your work surface and knead until pliable
  5. Take pieces and roll to your desired thickness, these were about 5mm
  6. I decorated at this stage by placing the doily over the top and gently rolling over with the pin or by pressing with a stamp
  7. Cut with your cookie cutter, make a hole with the straw or toothpick and place on a baking sheet
  8. Leave overnight to dry or carefully dry in a 100 c oven for up to an hour
  9. Now you can paint them, dust them with chalk dust and even write on them! Golly gosh that's good value!
