Were going to give you 5 tips to help you get started on your wedding planning journey.
1. Have the talk
You need to discuss with your fiance about your budget, your priorities and what you want for your wedding. Ask yourselves 'how much do we have to spend,' 'what's the most important elements (food/aesthetics/atmosphere),'how many guests will we invite,' and 'when and where are we going to do it.'
2. Do the research
You are armed with everything you need to start planning, you know roughly what, when, why and how and now you need to find out if all those wants match with your situation. Many brides are often surprised at how quickly things can add up so it's good to do your research at the beginning before making any bookings or set decisions.
3. Book your suppliers
Now you have looked around, gotten your quotes and have an idea of how much things are going to cost you can start making bookings. The finer details can be sorted out later, just get your favourite suppliers booked asap as some are getting dates booked as much as 2 years out.
4. Refine your details
Now the fun part begins, you can start shopping for your dress, discussing flowers with your florist. The stress from the costs and supplier availability should have drastically decreased so you can start really enjoying the process.
5. Triple check everything
It's time to go over every detail now and make sure that it's correct, have you sent the right numbers out to your suppliers, have you read every contract and made sure it's clear what they do and do not include, does everyone have contact details for someone on the day.
